Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026
Whirlybird is a video production company in Los Angeles. This page explains what this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect very little, we use it to run the site and to answer you, and we don’t sell it.
What We Collect
What You Send Us
- Email. If you email us, we get your address and whatever you write.
- Call bookings. If you book a call through the scheduler, we get your name, your email address, the time you picked, and anything you add to the booking form.
- Newsletter. If you sign up for the newsletter, we get your email address.
What the Site Records if You Say Yes to Analytics
If you say yes to analytics, on the cookie notice or in Cookie Settings, Google Analytics records how you use the site: the pages you open, how far down a page you get, the case studies and videos you play, and whether you click the email link, start the newsletter form, or book a call. It also records the kind of device and browser you’re on, your general location, and how you got here, such as a search or a link we sent you. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from the next.
If you say no, or don’t answer, none of that happens. Google Analytics doesn’t load at all.
What Loads Either Way
A few outside services are part of how the site works. They load whatever you answer on the cookie notice.
- Hostinger hosts the site. Like every web host, it keeps a log of requests: IP address, browser, the page asked for, and the time.
- Mux streams our videos. To deliver a video, Mux receives your IP address and details about your device. Its player also reports how playback went, such as loading time and errors. We have its cookie turned off.
- Calendly runs the scheduler in the Contact section. It sets its own cookies and shows its own cookie notice inside the scheduler.
- Beehiiv runs the newsletter form at the bottom of each page and sends the newsletter. Its form may set its own cookies.
Cookies
The first time you visit, a notice asks whether Google Analytics may run. Accept turns it on. Decline keeps it off. Customize opens Cookie Settings, where Analytics has its own switch. We keep your answer in your browser for a year, then ask again.
You can change your answer whenever you like with , here or at the bottom of every page. If you turn Analytics off, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are removed.
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a no and don’t show the notice. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser’s settings.
How We Use It
- To answer you, and to plan and hold the call you booked.
- To send the newsletter, if you signed up for it.
- To see which pages and videos get watched, so we can make the site better.
- To keep the site running and secure.
Who Sees It
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for advertising. It goes to the companies that run the services on this site, and each one handles it under its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics: how Google uses information from sites that use its services
- Mux: privacy policy
- Calendly: privacy notice
- Beehiiv: privacy policy
- Hostinger: privacy policy
Calendly and Beehiiv, and Google Analytics if you say yes to it, may collect information about what you do online over time and across other websites that use them. We would also hand information over if the law required it.
How Long We Keep It
- Google Analytics keeps the records tied to your browser for up to 14 months. After that, only totals remain.
- We keep emails and call bookings for as long as we need them to work with you and to keep our business records.
- We keep your newsletter address until you unsubscribe.
- Your cookie answer stays in your browser for a year.
Your Choices
- Change your cookie answer with .
- Leave the newsletter with the unsubscribe link in any issue.
- Ask what we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@whirlybird.tv.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. This site doesn’t change what it does when it gets one, because Google Analytics is already off unless you say yes to it. We do respond to the newer Global Privacy Control signal, as described under Cookies.
Children
This site is for businesses. It isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
